Important update on Azerbaijan (AZN) P2P trading

Publicat la 2 dec. 20255 min citire

Due to updated internal policies, changes will be applied to AZN trading flow on the P2P marketplace. These updates will take effect from December 10, 2025, 13:00 UTC+4.

Affected trading pairs: USDT/AZN, ETH/AZN, BTC/AZN.

What's changing:

  • Only valid Kapital Bank, M10 and Rabita Bank accounts will be supported as payment methods for AZN.

  • The P2P crypto release process for AZN trades will be automated when both the buyer’s and seller’s payment methods, as well as the payment transaction, can be successfully validated by our third-party provider.

  • Manual P2P order confirmation flow will be discontinued in the near future.

  • A 0.25% fee will be applied to the buyer and the seller for each relevant P2P order in AZN. This fee is collected by a trusted third-party provider to ensure compliance and secure processing, not by OKX.

What this means for you:

  • For ad creators (makers), all existing ads on the AZN P2P marketplace without a validated payment method will be taken offline on December 10, 2025, 13:00 UTC+4.

  • Your pending AZN orders will remain until they're completed or canceled.

  • To continue P2P trading in AZN, you'll need to add validated Kapital Bank, M10 or Rabita Bank as your payment method starting from December 10, 2025, 13:00 UTC+4.

  • All payment accounts will be validated on a per-order basis. As preparation for the launch, invalid payment methods will be removed on December 10, 2025.

  • P2P orders will be automatically confirmed once the buyer’s transfer of the exact order amount from a validated payment method to the seller’s validated account has been successfully verified.

  • Please note that our third-party provider will charge a 0.25% trading fee to both the buyer and the seller for every completed P2P transaction in AZN.

  • This update applies to all users trading in AZN.

  • Please update your OKX app to the latest version before December 10, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

  1. Will this integration cause delays in P2P transactions?
No, integration is designed to improve processing speed and accuracy. Standard P2P settlement times will continue to apply.

  2. I passed KYC with an Azerbaijani document, but I currently reside in another country. Can I post ads in other currencies, or only in AZN?
Yes. Completing KYC with an Azerbaijani document does not restrict you to trading in AZN only. You may post ads and trade in any fiat currency supported on the platform and available for your current location.

  3. Can I still trade in AZN if my account is not registered in Azerbaijan?
Yes, you can still buy and sell in AZN. However, to perform any trade (both as a maker posting ads and as a taker opening orders), you will need to have a validated Azerbaijani bank account with either Kapital Bank, M10 or Rabita Bank.

  4. Will the 0.25% transaction fee apply to both buyer and seller?
Yes, each party will be charged 0.25% of the transaction amount in AZN trades.

  5. How is the 0.25% fee displayed during the transaction?
The fee will be calculated and shown during ad creation, order confirmation, and in the final order summary to ensure full transparency.

  6. I use the P2P API — will anything change for me when trading in AZN?
You will no longer be able to use the P2P API for trading in AZN. However, if you trade in other currencies, you can continue to use the P2P API for those transactions as usual.

  7. Do I need to re-add my payment methods after this update?
If you already use Kapital Bank, M10 or Rabita Bank and your accounts are successfully validated by the system, you can continue trading without any changes. However, if you previously used other payment methods or if your existing Kapital Bank, M10 or Rabita Bank accounts could not be automatically validated, you will need to add a validated Azerbaijani bank account with either Kapital Bank, M10 or Rabita Bank to trade by December 10.

  8. Can I use other banks in Azerbaijan as a payment method?
Only Kapital Bank, M10 and Rabita Bank are supported under the current integration. New payment methods may be added in the future subject to further integration.

  9. What if I mistakenly input the wrong bank account number or phone number?
The system now includes automatic payment method validation to help prevent such errors. For Kapital Bank and Rabita Bank, validation is performed using the bank account or card number, while for M10 it is based on the phone number. You will be notified if the information entered is invalid or incorrectly formatted before proceeding.

  10. What happens if I make an interbank transfer, send an incorrect amount, or split the payment into two transactions?
To avoid the risk of losing funds, you must send the exact order amount in a single transaction from a validated Kapital Bank, M10 or Rabita Bank account. Payments that cannot be validated will not be processed automatically, and the order may be canceled once the payment window expires. This could result in a loss of funds.
